Mount Meru (4,566 m) is Tanzania’s second-highest mountain and one of East Africa’s most underrated trekking experiences. Located within Arusha National Park, the climb offers dramatic scenery, wildlife encounters, and excellent acclimatization at altitude.
Many climbers use Mount Meru as preparation before Kilimanjaro, but it is also a fantastic standalone adventure.
